Internal Security Forces seize illegal weapons in Tartous countryside

Internal Security Forces seized Wednesday amounts of weapons and ammunition during a combing operation in the Drikish Forests, Tartous countryside.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel that internal security forces conducted a “large-scale combing operation” targeting mountainous areas and forests in the Drikish area, resulting in the discovery of various weapons and ammunition hidden in a forest.

“The operation is part of efforts to seize illegal weapons,” the ministry added and pledged to crack down on uncontrolled weapons.
