Syrian Army dismantle more than 5,000 landmines in Deir ez-Zor

Syrian Arab Army’ engineering units have successfully dismantled more than 5,000 anti-tank and anti-personnel landmines, along Deir ez-Zor – Al-Mayadin road, Agricultural fields in Al-Bukamal and the desert regions in Al-Mayadin and Al-Asharah.

The work is underway to fully clear the desert off mines as part of a broader campaign to secure liberated territories and facilitate the safe return of civilians to their areas.
