Latakia, SANA – Lattakia Governor Mohammad Othman discussed Sunday with the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Syria, Adam Abdelmoula, ways to enhance cooperation and provide the necessary support to the governorate and its countryside.

This step aimed at supporting the return of displaced residents to their towns and villages, in addition to exchanging expertise in this field.
Abdelmoula underlined, in a statement to SANA reporter, the UN’s support for the early recovery plan in Latakia province, through direct work with the governorate team to implement these plans and projects, based on priorities.
Abdelmoula also indicated that a comprehensive framework for the priorities identified by the governorate is being developed in the coming days, indicating that the projects focus on the education, health, and water and sanitation sectors, especially in the north of the governorate.
