From Amman to Damascus.. Economic bridges built at  Damascus International Fair

Damascus, SANA-

42 Jordanian companies from various industrial and service sectors are participating in the 62nd Damascus International Fair, aiming to explore investment and trade opportunities in the Syrian markets and enhance trade and investment cooperation with Syria.

Alaa Saado, Executive Director of the Business Sector at the Bank of Jordan, indicated in a statement to SANA that participation in this fair reflects Jordan’s commitment to contribute to achieving a shared economic vision between the two countries, supporting inter-trade and financial transfers between Jordan and Syria.

Saado added, “We aspire to be a pivotal part of the financial infrastructure for trade exchange with Syria and other countries in the region, through an integrated strategy based on the bank’s experience and regional expansion in several countries.”

For his part, Engineer Naim Al-Hawari, Executive Director of the National Cable and Wire Manufacturing Company (KIPCO), emphasized that this participation represents a strategic return to the Syrian market, following its last participation in 2009.

Salameh Al-Louzi, Public Relations and Media Officer at Jordan Export House, said that the aim of this participation is to strengthen Jordan’s economic presence in the Syrian market, open new horizons for companies to boost their exports
