Over 440,000 people visit the Damascus International Fair during the first three days

Damascus, SANA-The 62nd edition of the Damascus International Fair witnessed an unprecedented turnout from various provinces, with the number of visitors exceeding 440,000 in the first three days.

Mohammad Hamza, Director General of the Syrian General Organization for Exhibitions and International Markets, told SANA that the high turnout focused on all sectors—industrial, food, construction, and energy—alongside pavilions dedicated to children.

He underlined that the fair offers broad opportunities for investors to explore national products and conclude deals, memorandums of understanding, and new investments.

Hamza noted the signing of several memorandums of understanding and agreements on the sidelines of the fair, in addition to receiving requests from traders and industrialists to import from Syria. He affirmed that the fair’s primary goal is to boost exports and directly support the local industrial economy.

Hamza pointed out that the coming days will witness prominent economic events with the participation of various ministries, as well as the presence of international delegations. Cultural and artistic activities will also continue, with all events being monitored daily to ensure the fair’s success and continuity.
