Justice Minister Committed to Holding Accountable all those involved in al-Labbad case

Damascus, SANA-Syrian Minister of Justice Dr. Mazhar al-Wais affirmed the commitment to holding accountable all those proven to be involved in the case of the late citizen Youssef al-Labbad, without favoritism or leniency.

In a tweet on X, the Minister said: “We would like to express our appreciation to our people for their concern, vigilance, and heartfelt engagement regarding the case of the slain citizen Youssef al-Labbad. We understand the anger shown by citizens toward this painful incident.”

“We reaffirm our commitment to holding accountable everyone proven to be involved in this case, without favoritism or leniency,” Minister al-Wais added.

The Minister of Justice continued: We have instructed the Public Prosecution to take its role with full seriousness and transparency in investigating this case, and to follow the necessary legal procedures to ensure the accountability of those involved. We stress that no one is above the law, and no perpetrator will escape punishment if proven guilty.
