Communication Minister: efforts underway to remove Syria from restricted countries list

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haykal, announced that the ministry is working closely with U.S. government representatives and American technology companies to secure the removal of Syria from the list of restricted countries.

In a post on the platform X, Minister Haykal stated that the results of these efforts will begin to emerge in the coming days and weeks, noting that Google will be the first company to gradually make both its paid and free services available in Syria.
