21 killed in truck-bus collision in Nigeria

Abuja, SANA-Nigerian authorities announced Monday that more than 21 people were killed in a collision between a truck and a bus in Kano State, northern Nigeria.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the head of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Muhammad Bature, said: “The bus driver veered out of his lane, causing a collision with the truck on the Zaria-Kano highway in the Kasuwar Dugu area. Both vehicles caught fire, resulting in the deaths of 21 people. Three others were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
