Fifth Day of Escalation: Israel and Iran continue trading Strikes

Damascus, SANA-The exchange of strikes between Israel and Iran has entered its fifth consecutive day, with both sides targeting various military and strategic sites.

Israel announced that its warplanes conducted a series of overnight airstrikes targeting Tehran, the Iranian state television building, and dozens of military sites in western Iran. The strikes reportedly hit infrastructure used for storing and launching surface-to-surface missiles, as well as facilities storing drones and surface-to-air missile platforms, resulting in casualties and material damage.

In response, Iran launched fresh barrages of missiles overnight and into this morning toward Tel Aviv and surrounding Israeli settlements, causing injuries among civilians and additional damage.

International reactions continue to call for de-escalation between the two parties to prevent further instability in the Middle East.
