Kuwait City / Abu Dhabi, July 29 (SANA) Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have condemned recent drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and Jordan, reaffirming their solidarity with the two countries and warning that continued escalation threatens regional security and stability.

In a statement published on X on Wednesday, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned what it described as attacks carried out by Iran-backed militias in Iraq against Saudi Arabia, saying the continued assaults reflected the militias’ determination to escalate tensions and undermine regional peace and stability.

The ministry said the drone attack targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province on Tuesday constituted a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and territorial integrity, despite Riyadh’s efforts to help de-escalate tensions across the region.

Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, sovereignty, interests and national assets, including its right to self-defense. It stressed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

In a separate statement, the United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the drone attack targeting Jordan, describing it as a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation threatening its security and stability.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement published on X, reiterated the country’s full solidarity with Jordan and its support for all measures aimed at preserving the country’s security and stability, warning that such attacks further fuel regional tensions.

Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones launched from Iraqi territory on Tuesday that were attempting to target oil facilities in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province.

Meanwhile, the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that they had shot down a drone that entered the country’s airspace early Tuesday, one day after two other drones were intercepted.
