Occupied Jerusalem, April 18 (SANA) The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,549 since the start of the Israeli war on the Strip on October 7, 2023, according to Palestinian medical sources.
The sources, quoted by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, said the number of wounded has reached 172,274 over the same period.
They added that hospitals in Gaza recorded seven fatalities and 24 injuries over the past 24 hours, noting that several victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads as rescue and ambulance teams are unable to reach them due to ongoing conditions on the ground.
Since the ceasefire announced on October 10, 773 people have been killed and 2,171 injured. In addition, 761 bodies have been recovered, according to the same sources.
