Manama/Amman, March 26 (SANA) Bahrain and Jordan said their air defense systems intercepted Iranian missiles and drones targeting their territories, as military escalation in the region continued.
The Bahrain Defense Force said its air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 154 missiles and 350 drones since the start of the Iranian attacks.
In a statement, the General Command said the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian infrastructure and private property constitutes “a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter,” and poses a direct threat to regional peace and security.
In Jordan, the armed forces said the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted three missiles launched toward its territory over the past 24 hours without causing casualties.
The military said the interceptions were carried out successfully and that no injuries or damage were reported.
The incidents come amid ongoing missile and drone attacks since Feb. 28, when the United States and Israel began strikes on Iran. Tehran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. military bases in countries across the region, including Bahrain and Jordan.
