New York, Dec. 01 (SANA) Hundreds of people gathered in New York city on Monday to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
Demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and signs calling for an end to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza and an immediate U.S. arms embargo on Israel. They said Washington’s continued military support has enabled what they described as an ongoing genocide over the past two years, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Protesters also urged divestment from companies linked to Israel’s military operations and demanded an end to U.S. financial and military aid to Israel to pressure the American government to protect civilians in Gaza.
Similar demonstrations and solidarity events have recently taken place in capitals and cities across the world, denouncing the mass killings in Gaza and urging accountability for Israel’s actions
