Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, reaffirmed his country’s support for Syria’s reconstruction efforts to ensure its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also stressed that Syria’s stability is vital to regional security.

During a meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann David Wadephul in Amman, Safadi reiterated Jordan’s support for a political solution that preserves Syria’s unity, security, and sovereignty, while ensuring the safety of its people. He condemned Israeli actions aimed at destabilizing Syria, including repeated attacks on its territory, as reported by Jordan’s official news agency Petra.

Safadi emphasized that Syria’s stability is crucial for regional security, noting that successful reconstruction would benefit the entire region and contribute to broader stability, including in Europe.

The two ministers discussed efforts to uphold the ceasefire in Gaza, calling for full adherence to its terms and emphasizing the importance of advancing a comprehensive vision to ensure security, stability, and reconstruction in Gaza.

They underscored the necessity of ensuring the immediate and adequate delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of Gaza and agreed to continue their cooperation in supporting these efforts.
