The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday that it had received the bodies of 30 Palestinians from Israeli authorities through the Red Cross, bringing the total number of bodies received to 195.
In its daily report, the ministry stated that its medical teams continue to process the bodies in accordance with established protocols, pending the completion of examinations, documentation, and delivery to the families.
“Some of the bodies show signs of abuse, including beatings, bound hands, and blindfolded eyes,” the ministry added.
The released bodies are part of the U.S.-backed ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel aimed at halting the war in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry also reported that families have so far identified 57 bodies through an online reference system established to match remains with missing persons.
