Doctors Without Borders (MSF) warned on Thursday that the health situation in Gaza remains extremely critical, noting that some 70 million tons of rubble and around 20,000 unexploded ordnance remaining across the territory.
In a statement, MSF said it has seen no improvement in its ability to bring in aid, citing the same obstacles that have blocked assistance. It emphasized that aid must reach Gaza before any discussion of rebuilding hospitals can take place.
MSF pointed out that the healthcare sector in Gaza is facing the largest structural and humanitarian disaster in modern history.
A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel went into effect in Gaza, October 10, after two year of devastating Israeli war that killed more 67,806 Palestinians, and injured approximately 170.066 others with grave devastation in the health sector.
