The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza called for an urgent help for the severe health and humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for immediate action to address critical shortages in medical supplies and healthcare infrastructure.
According to the ministry, thousands of patients and wounded individuals urgently require access to qualified medical facilities. The ongoing crisis has left many without the proper care they need, further exacerbating the already dire conditions.
“The suspension of specialized services and diagnostic procedures has worsened the health crisis, preventing complex surgical interventions and essential treatments,” the Ministry of Health warned. “The need for immediate medical assistance is at a critical level,” it added.
With hospitals overwhelmed and resources stretched thin, the ministry stressed that reinforcing the remaining operational hospitals in Gaza is an urgent priority. “There is no time to lose. We must act now to save lives and alleviate suffering,” the statement read.
A ceasefire agreement took effect in Gaza Strip on Friday, ending a 735-day Israeli war against Palestinians. The agreement is a part of a broader framework brokered by the US, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey that brought a halt to the war that, according to Palestinian officials, killed more than 67,000 people.
