Turkey and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding Thursday aimed at strengthening their partnership in civil nuclear energy.
Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said on his account NSosyal website that the agreement launches “a new process that will further deepen the long-standing and multidimensional partnership between Türkiye and the United States in the field of nuclear energy.”
Bayraktar said U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed the agreement on strategic civil nuclear cooperation at the White House, in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday.
“I hope the work to be carried out under this agreement will produce mutual benefits for both countries,” Bayraktar added.
