Dujarric: Israeli escalation in Gaza forces Palestinians to be forcibly displaced

New York, SANA-The United Nations has confirmed that Israel is escalating its attacks on Gaza Strip, forcing more Palestinians to flee.

The Palestinian WAFA news agency quoted UN Secretary-General’s spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric, as saying at a press conference in New York: “The Israeli escalation and targeting of civilian buildings are forcing more Palestinians in Gaza to flee again and again.”

Dujarric added: “2,780 Palestinians have been injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers since the beginning of this year,” noting that 3,000 displacements have been recorded from the north of Gaza Strip to its south in the past two days.

The UN spokesperson noted that these figures represent a 39 percent increase in Israeli attacks against Palestinians compared to 2024, noting that Israel continues to obstruct and restrict the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
