Capitals, SANA-Arab and international bodies have strongly condemned the Israeli attack on the Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza, which killed 20 Palestinians, including five journalists.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the targeting of medical and media personnel as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, urging immediate international action. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) described the strike as an attempt to conceal crimes of genocide and called for accountability and protection of journalists.
UN General Assembly President Philomon Yang demanded an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access, while the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor dismissed Israeli claims about the bombing as false.
U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren condemned Prime Minister Netanyahu’s “horrific” disregard for human life, rejecting continued U.S. funding of Israel’s operations. European Parliament President Roberta Metsola also declared the situation in Gaza “no longer tolerable.”
The French Journalists’ Association reported that 244 journalists have been killed since October 7, 2023, while journalist groups in Turkey labeled the targeting of media professionals a war crime under international law.
