Capitals, SANA- International condemnations and protests continue against the war of starvation and genocide practiced by Israeli occupation against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins described in an interview with Irish Radio the conflict in Gaza as a“tragic period” in the world’s history and said: “The realm of unaccountability is the most serious threat to democracy.
Canada’s Minister of International Development Randeep Sarai said in a statement: Canada is deeply alarmed by the horrific deteriorating conditions in Gaza and by the increase in civilian deaths, among them children, from starvation.
He added that the ongoing conflict and the Israeli government’s military actions have made famine a devastating reality for Palestinians in Gaza, and the crisis continues to grow.
The US Republican Congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Greene, confirmed in a post on the X platform that what civilians are being subjected to in Gaza represents genocide, considering that “the world’s silence on Gaza’s suffering is unacceptable”.
More than 40 demonstrations were organized today across Australia, with large crowds participating in the capitals of several states in the country, in support of the Palestinians and in rejection of the continued Israeli war and starvation against the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has so far left more than 62,000 martyrs, approximately 158,000 wounded, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 281 people, including 114 children.
