Damascus, SANA-Acting Health Minister Dr. Maher al-Sharaa discussed means to enhance joint cooperation in the health sector with a delegation from the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS).
During a meeting held Sunday at the Ministry of Health, both sides explored ways to unify efforts and future steps to enhance the medical services provided to patients and improve the response to increasing health needs.
Dr. al-Sharaa stated that the ministry has developed a crisis response plan to overcome challenges in the health sector and is working on networking and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services provided to patients.
He emphasized the ministry’s continuous pursuit of cooperation with partners, providing urgent medical assistance, and ensuring the sustainability of health services for patients amid the difficult challenges facing the health sector. This, he added, contributes to raising the level of healthcare and developing public health systems.
