MERCY Malaysia donates 10 dialysis machines to Hama National Hospital

The devices were delivered during a visit by a delegation from the organization to the hospital, which is suffering from a significant shortage of dialysis machines, in addition to the malfunctioning of many machines due to corruption and mismanagement that prevailed in its work environment due to the practices of the former regime.

The former regime’s practices had threatened the lives and safety of dialysis patients and caused them and their families a lot of suffering.

In this context, Dr. Arwa Haider, the organization’s coordinator, called on the Hama Health Directorate to prepare a comprehensive report on the performance of dialysis units in all public hospitals in the governorate and their most pressing needs, with the aim of securing support from donors in the upcoming period.

During a tour of the Maternity and Children’s Hospital, Dr. Haider was briefed on the most pressing needs of patients and residents, particularly complementary food supplies for pregnant women and children, and promised to secure them through the organization.
