Damascus, Dec. 15 (SANA) The Ministry of Health launched the National Strategic Health Plan 2026–2028 on Monday during a conference at the National Library in Damascus, under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Presidency.
According to SANA’s reporter, the plan aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Syria’s health system, improve population health outcomes, and reduce morbidity and mortality rates.
The strategic plan constitutes the first national framework for the early recovery phase following Syria’s liberation, marking a key step in rebuilding and modernizing the health sector.
Officials stressed that the plan provides a comprehensive roadmap for strengthening health services, developing institutional performance, and ensuring better access to quality healthcare across the country as part of broader recovery and development efforts.
