Ministry of Higher Education announces scholarships offered by Pakistan and Indonesia

Damascus, SANA-Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the availability of scholarships offered by COMSATS University in Islamabad, Pakistan, for postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD) for the academic year 2025/2026.

According to the ministry’s announcement, which was received by SANA, these scholarships cover a wide range of fields, including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Physics, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, International Relations, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Project Management, Biotechnology, Development Studies, Software Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.

The ministry clarified that these scholarships are exempt from one-time registration fees, admission fees, laboratory fees, banking fees, semester registration fees, and tuition fees. However, accepted students are responsible for covering travel visa costs, accommodation, and meals.

Additionally, the ministry announced scholarships provided by the Center of Excellence in Indonesia, affiliated with the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), through Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). These scholarships are available for postgraduate doctoral studies in Fall 2025 and are open to students from member countries.

These scholarships cover various fields related to science, technology, engineering, and related disciplines and are fully funded.

Electronic registration for the Indonesian scholarships is available via ITS Scholarship Portal. After registration, applicants must send a notification to the COMSATS Secretariat via email at:

Detailed information on the scholarships, including eligibility criteria and deadlines set by the awarding institutions, is available on the official website of Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). Applications remain open until May 31.
