Ministry of Education, ALECSO, Human Restart discuss ways of boosting education sector in Syria

Damascus, SANA-A meeting between senior officials from the Ministry of Education, representatives from the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and experts from the European Organization Human Restart focused on creating a comprehensive plan to develop educational curricula, train and qualify teachers, strengthen children’s learning abilities, and restore school infrastructure.

Held at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus, the discussions highlighted the need for strategic educational planning, conducting studies to identify key requirements, implementing protective measures for vulnerable children, improving their psychological well-being, and advancing the education sector to build Syria’s future.

Participants emphasized the importance of organizing training programs under the supervision of experts from both organizations to enhance the quality of education.

Additionally, the organizations reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating on efforts to provide necessary support for these children, ensuring their educational and developmental progress.

The meeting was attended by ALECSO’s educational expert, Dr. Abdullah Majidel, and the director of ALECSO’s Center for Arabization, Integration, and Publishing in Syria, Dr. Mohammad al-Qawas.

It is worth noting that Human Restart is affiliated with the European Union, headquartered in the Federal Republic of Germany, and is dedicated to supporting Arab children in conflict zones.
