Damascus, May 4 (SANA) The EDIS education exhibition, bringing together Turkish and international universities, opened in Damascus on Monday, offering Syrian students opportunities to connect directly with academic institutions and explore study options abroad.

Held at the Seven Gates Hotel, the event features representatives from Turkish and other international universities, including Germany, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Hungary.

The exhibition aims to link prospective students with universities offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs across fields such as medicine, engineering, and social sciences, while helping them choose academic paths aligned with their career goals.

Participants can meet university delegates face-to-face, receive guidance on admissions and student visas, and in some cases secure on-site acceptance.

Organizers said the event also provides access to scholarships and tuition discounts aimed at expanding access to international education.

The EDIS exhibition is held regularly across the Middle East and North Africa, as well as in Istanbul, targeting students seeking to study abroad.

This year’s edition in Syria is part of the exhibition’s ninth cycle, reflecting growing interest in attracting students from the region to overseas universities.
