Syria Discusses Oil Cooperation with U.S. Company to Improve Transportation Efficiency

Damascus, SANA-Syrian Energy Minister Mohammad al-Bashir discussed, on Wednesday, with a delegation from the American company Blacken Energy ways to boost cooperation in the field of oil transportation, as part of efforts to develop the energy sector’s infrastructure in Syria.

The meeting addressed the possibility of cooperation in transporting oil via traditional pipelines, as well as the use of tankers as an alternative means of transportation, ensuring greater flexibility in meeting local market needs.
Syria Discusses Oil Cooperation with U.S. Company to Improve Transportation Efficiency

Minister al-Bashir stressed the importance of this cooperation in increasing the efficiency of transportation operations and improving distribution mechanisms, which will contribute to securing the needs of the production and service sectors for petroleum derivatives.

This meeting comes within the context of openness to specialized international companies and the exchange of technical expertise, which will enhance Syria’s ability to develop its oil system in accordance with international standards.
