Damascus, SANA- Economy and Industry Minister, Dr. Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haykal discussed ways to strengthen technical cooperation between the two ministries and coordinate efforts to develop the digital infrastructure of economic governance as part of ongoing digital transformation plans.
During the meeting—held at the Ministry of Economy—the two officials emphasized the importance of expanding automation services and linking databases between the ministries. This would enhance government performance efficiency and improve the business environment and public services for citizens.
Minister al-Shaar noted that digital transformation serves as a central tool in advancing administrative and economic reform and called for deeper collaboration among government entities to achieve tangible results.
For his part, Minister Haykal expressed the Communications Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary technical and logistical support to ensure the success of digital initiatives launched by the Ministry of Economy, in alignment with the national digital transformation strategy.
