Vienna, Aug.26 (SANA) The Syrian delegation participating in the 7th GlobE General Assembly, held at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, organized on Wednesday an event entitled “From Asset Recovery to Recovery: Supporting Transitional Justice, Peacebuilding, and Development in Syria.”
The event was attended by officials and experts from Saudi Arabia, France, and Spain, as well as representatives from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The Syrian delegation was headed by Amer al-Ali, Chairman of the Central Commission for Inspection and Control.
The event discussed strengthening international cooperation for asset recovery and return, cross-border coordination, and the potential for utilizing recovered assets to support recovery, reconstruction, and sustainable development in Syria.
