Gold prices edge higher in Syrian market

Damascus, June 14 (SANA)  Gold prices in Syria rose on Sunday, with the price of 21-karat gold increasing by SYP 50 per gram compared with the previous day.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, the selling price of 21-karat gold was set at SYP 17,300 per gram, while the buying price stood at SYP 17,000.

The authority set the selling price of 18-karat gold at SYP 14,800 per gram and the buying price at SYP 14,500.
The bulletin also showed that the global gold ounce price was recorded at $4,219.

The General Authority for Precious Metals Management regulates the pricing and trading of gold and precious metals in Syria in coordination with provincial goldsmith associations.
