Damascus, Feb. 24 (SANA) – Head of Syria’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce met with a Belgian Foreign Ministry delegation on Tuesday to explore ways to expand trade and investment cooperation and strengthen private-sector engagement.
The discussions focused on commercial arbitration, economic research, and opportunities for renewed economic engagement following liberation and the repeal of Caesar act.
The Syrian side stressed the importance of drawing on Belgian expertise in trade and investment and proposed organizing a joint economic forum to identify cooperation opportunities and promote investment projects.
The meeting is part of broader efforts by Syria’s chambers of commerce to widen international economic partnerships and support recovery and development efforts.
