Riyadh, Dec. 13 (SANA) Syria will take part as “Guest of Honor” in the upcoming “Made in Saudi Arabia” trade exhibition, opening December 15 in Riyadh, Syrian officials said.
The three-day event, hosted by the Saudi Export Development Authority, will feature a Syrian pavilion showcasing more than 25 companies from industrial and service sectors, according to Hassan Al-Ahmad, media office director at Syria’s Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Al-Ahmad said the participation is intended to deepen economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries and builds on Saudi Arabia’s presence at the 2025 Damascus International Fair, where both sides adopted the slogan “We Are Alike.”
Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Nidal Al-Shaar is expected to attend the exhibition, which officials say will focus on knowledge exchange, industrial technology development and expanding investment opportunities.
The exhibition is to include workshops, business meetings, cultural events and the signing of memoranda of understanding, drawing industrialists, investors and policymakers from across the region and beyond.
Syria has been working to expand its regional economic partnerships as part of efforts to revitalize key industrial sectors and encourage investment. Participation in international exhibitions is viewed as a strategic tool to promote Syrian products, attract foreign partnerships and reinforce economic integration with Arab countries.
