The Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy in Damascus, Clemens Hach, hailed the visit of the German trade delegation to Syria as an important step towards reconnecting with Syrian partners and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
In a post on X , Hach described the delegation’s first visit to Damascus in 14 years as a significant opportunity to develop future economic relations. The delegation participated in the Syrian-Austrian-German Business Forum, which provided a platform for strengthening ties.
“The delegation expressed admiration for the clarity of the economic vision presented during the forum,” Hach added.
Held on Monday, the forum brought together a wide range of representatives from Syrian economic bodies and institutions, as well as businessmen and investors from Syria, Germany, and Austria. The event was attended by the German and Austrian ambassadors to Damascus.
