Damascus, SANA-The Damascus Fairgrounds hosted the Khan al-Harir Motex Exhibition, which was organized by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Damascus and Aleppo. This exhibition is a prominent milestone in the path of supporting the Syrian textile industry and reconnecting it to foreign markets.
Visitors widely praised the importance of this event and its role in creating job opportunities and enhancing the competitiveness of local products
One of the exhibition’s visitors, Saad Nizar, a textile workshop owner, said the exhibition opens the door for industrialists to connect with traders from Arab and regional countries. He added, “The exhibition is not only an opportunity to showcase products, but also a platform for marketing Syrian products abroad, especially if we can combine quality with competitive prices.”
For her part, Laila Mahmoud, a fashion design engineer, said that holding the exhibition contributes to connecting designers directly with suppliers of threads and fabrics.
“The exhibition’s importance extends beyond professionals, extending to consumers as well,” Amira Hafez, a visitor from Damascus, said, adding that the exhibition reflects a clear picture of the diversity of Syrian products and their prices, and instills greater confidence in local products as a competitive alternative to imported ones.
The exhibition activities will continue until the fifteenth of the current month.
