Damascus-SANA In one of Damascus international fair corners, a couple coming from Aleppo Genwa Gayas Hori and Abed al-Rahmen Ashor launched an initiative under the title “Details of an Aleppo Tale” in order to re-evaluate the Syrian heritage in general, and the Aleppo heritage in particular in a style that combines authenticity and innovation.
Products carrying the Syrian identity
Genwa noted that idea of the initiative is based on modernizing and transforming heritage pieces into Products with a stylish design that keeps up with the times asserting that the basic goal from this initiative is cultural, rather being commercial.
For his part, Abdul al-Rahman stated that the products were widely accepted in Gulf countries and Europe, namely by young generation, and that encouraged the development of the vision towards more diverse products.
He explained that paper mosaics are one of the initiative’s main themes, noting that it is a technique he learned in Italy before 2009 and has been developed to creatively embody Syrian heritage.
