Energy Minister, Global UCC Company discuss electricity generation projects in Syria

Damascus, SANA-  Energy Minister Eng. Mohammad al-Bashir met Monday with the management of the global company UCC. The meeting addressed the follow-up on the implementation of the recently signed memorandum of understanding between the two parties, related to the construction and development of four power plants and solar power station in several regions.

Energy Minister, Global UCC Company discuss electricity generation projects in Syria

The meeting discussed the progress of work in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, emphasizing the importance of expediting the necessary procedures to move toward signing final contracts with the goal of launching the projects as soon as possible.

Minister al-Bashir confirmed that contracts will be signed immediately upon completion of the necessary studies, ensuring that the projects are implemented according to the highest standards and serve the needs of Syria’s energy sector.
