Damascus International Fair to resume after six-year hiatus

Damascus, SANA-Only 14 days remain until the launch of the 62nd edition of the Damascus International Fair, returning after a six-year hiatus following the fall of the former regime.

The fair, held at the Damascus Exhibition City, is one of the oldest and most significant trade fairs in the Middle East and the Arab region. Since its founding in 1954, it has served as a cultural and economic showcase for Syria, offering an annual platform that combines commercial activity with cultural and tourism engagement, reflecting the country’s openness to global markets and its economic development.

Since its first edition, the fair has attracted wide local and international attention, drawing participation from Arab and foreign countries. It has allowed visitors to explore a variety of products and industries, provided companies with opportunities to showcase innovations, sign direct contracts and deals, and attracted businesspeople, investors, traders, and industrialists from various service and production sectors.

Damascus Exhibition City spans 1,200,000 square meters, including around 70,000 square meters of built pavilions and 65,000 square meters of open display areas.

The 62nd edition of the Damascus International Fair is scheduled to take place from August 27 to September 5.
