Homs, May 6 (SANA) The 40th St. George Exhibition opened at the historic St. George Church in Zaydal, east of Homs, attracting visitors with a mix of handmade crafts, books, traditional homemade foods, modern décor and photography displays during celebrations marking the feast of St. George.
Organizer Elias Abu Eid said the exhibition reflects continuity despite years of hardship, highlighting works created from recycled materials that combine traditional themes with modern artistic styles.
Priest Father Gabriel Hazim said the event reflects the church’s social role alongside its spiritual mission.
Artisan Lilian Daoud presented handmade epoxy and wood pieces, while visitors said the exhibition featured broader participation and a more festive atmosphere this year.
