Damascus, Dec. 15 (SANA) The Palestinian Artists Union, Syria Branch, inaugurated the “Small Canvas” exhibition at Abu Rummaneh Cultural Center, featuring 60 artworks by 30 artists. Each piece offers a diverse range of techniques and styles.
Organized in collaboration with the Damascus Directorate of Culture, the exhibition provides a platform for artists to express their ideas freely, exploring various themes through compact compositions.

Mohammad al -Rokoui, head of the Damascus branch of the Union of Fine Artists, told SANA, “The themes of the participating works were left open, adding both visual and intellectual diversity to the exhibition. They reflected the artists’ personal experiences and aesthetic approaches, with clear use of color, symbolism, and artistic experimentation.”

He emphasized the importance of holding fine arts exhibitions at this stage, stating that art plays a fundamental role in supporting cultural life by providing a space for both the public and artists to interact and create, ultimately enhancing the artistic movement within society.
The small canvas serves as a concentrated visual space, challenging artists to distill their ideas into a limited area, where simplicity becomes profound and details gain deeper aesthetic significance.
