Damascus, Dec. 5 (SANA) An event aimed at supporting small and micro-businesses opened Thursday evening at the Cham Hotel in Damascus, bringing together more than 40 women showcasing handmade products that merge traditional Syrian craftsmanship with modern design.
The artisanal business forum, organized by the Committee of Industrial Businesswomen within the Damascus Chamber of Industry, seeks to strengthen the role of women in the local economy by providing a platform for promoting and selling their work.
Organizers say the initiative is part of a broader effort to empower women-led enterprises and expand opportunities for Syrian artisanal products in regional and international markets.
Diplomatic representatives from Bahrain and Sudan attended the opening and commended the diversity and quality of the items on display, describing the forum as a positive model for supporting traditional crafts and the families who rely on them.
