Despite bad economic conditions, preparing for the holy month of Ramadan is a must

Damascus, SANA-In a few days, the holy month of Ramadan will be upon us, those thirty days distinguished by their exceptional rituals, which Muslims in all countries of the world are eagerly awaiting and preparing for.

We are in Syria, and despite the dire economic conditions that the country is experiencing, the readiness to receive this beloved visitor is almost sacred.

The family begins by cleaning the house, carpets, windows and curtains, family members participate in arranging, coordinating and allocating a quiet corner in the house for prayer, worship and reciting the Quran, Prayer rugs are spread out and the corners are decorated with prayer beads and lanterns. (Fanous Ramadan), which is a folk and traditional lantern used to decorate streets and homes in the month of Ramadan.

And due to the difficult living conditions, most families have limited themselves to simple decorations, even those that were used in previous years, while others can make their decorations by hand with the simplest means, these are essential traditions, as Ramadan decorations add a lot of joy to the home.

These preparatory details add spirituality and tranquility in the month of Ramadan and create beautiful memories of sweet moments that have a special taste for family members and add an atmosphere of joy to the hearts of young and old alike.
