Damascus Countryside Governor inspects situation in Qudsaya and al-Hameh

Damascus Countryside, SANA – Governor of Damascus Countryside Alaa Ibrahim inspected the services situation in Qudsaya and al-Hameh towns following the clearing of weapons and gunmen from them and restringing normal life in them.

Ibrahim told reporters in a statement from Qudsaya on Monday that all basic services will return to the town today, adding we came today upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad to inspect the situation in Qudsaya and al-Hameh towns and provide all the needs of their people.

Ibrahim described what happened in Qudsaya recently as “tolerance, but not reconciliation” among the Syrians without any foreign interference, noting that such interference was hindering the reconciliations.qudsaya-hameh-damascus-countryside-national-reconciliation-1

He affirmed that during the upcoming months, Damascus countryside will be fully secure and stable, adding that all services will return to its entirety.

On October 1st, about 6,000 of locals from Qudsaya gathered at the main square in the town, calling upon the armed groups which don’t want to achieve reconciliation to immediately leave the area.

Recently, a number of areas in Damascus Countryside witnessed local reconciliations after clearing them from arms and gunmen, the latest of which was in Daraya, as hundreds of civilians were evacuated from the town to temporary housing centers in Harjaleh in Damascus countryside in the framework of an agreement reached by the end of last August as the city was cleared from weapons and gunmen.
