Damascus Countryside, SANA – A batch of humanitarian aid from Chechnya was distributed on Wednesday among the displaced families from Daraya city who are currently living in Shawaqa farms in Damascus Countryside.
In a statement during the distribution process, the member of the Federation Council of Russia Ziyad Sabsabi said that the aid is offered by the Chechen Ahmat Kadyrov Charity Foundation under the direction of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, and includes basic food items and children’s toys.
He pointed out that more aid will be distributed tomorrow in Sweida and after that an aid campaign will be carried out in Aleppo city and Tadmur (Palmyra) city.
“The aid distribution will continue and we are thinking of establishing a medical center and an educational center for children,” he added.
Marwan Abeid, the head of Daraya City Council, said that Shawaqa farms, which are located between Daraya and Sahnaya, currently houses more than 9,000 displaced persons from Daraya.
