Borodavkin: Russian-US center for responding to cessation of hostilities violations starts work today

Geneva, SANA – Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in Geneva Alexey Borodavkin said that the Russian-US center in Geneva for rapid response to violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria began work in Geneva on Wednesday.

Borodavkin stated that the Russian side has high hopes that the effective work of the center will help avoid and stop violations of the cessation of hostilities system in Syria.

Establishing the center was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday following a meeting with the Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura in Moscow.
