Geneva, SANA – A number of members of the Syrian communities in Switzerland and other European countries have gathered outside the UN headquarters in Geneva to express support to the homeland and the Syrian army in its fight against terrorism.
Participants in the solidarity stand which was organized by the Syrian communities in Europe in cooperation with branches of the National Union for Syrian Students in Europe emphasized their support for Syria, Syria’s delegation to the dialogue in Geneva and the efforts to end the terrorist war against their motherland.
They also called for pushing forward with the war against terrorism which is backed by regional and international forces, emphasizing that the Syrian people is the one who decides its future.
Participants who came from different European countries stressed the need for the regimes of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey to stop supporting terrorism in Syria and the region and to commit to the relevant international resolutions, demanding that the United Nations force these countries to implement its resolutions and stop intervention in the Syrian internal affairs.
They raised the Syrian flags and chanted the Syrian national anthem and slogans that emphasized Syria’s unity and territorial integrity and support for President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army.
