Terrorist attacks claim one life in Homs, injure six in Damascus

Provinces, SANA- One civilian was killed and 12 others were injured on Friday evening after terrorists detonated two explosive devices in Wadi al-Zahab neighborhood in Homs city.

A source at the province told SANA’s correspondent that terrorists detonated two IEDs, one of them near al-Ahram Hospital in al-Ahram Street in Wadi al-Zahab neighborhood, claiming the life of one civilian and injuring 12, in addition to causing material damage to cars and houses in the area.

Later on Friday afternoon, six civilians were injured by mortar rounds fired by terrorists on residential areas in Damascus city.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that 3 mortar shells fell in the neighborhoods of Al-Tijara, al-Qusour, and al-Qaimariya neighborhoods, wounding 6 civilians, 2 of them women, adding that the attacks also caused material damage to a house and 4 cars.

In Damascus Countryside, terrorists from Jaish al-Islam targeted with a mortar shell citizens’ houses in Harasta suburb on Friday afternoon.

The attack caused only material damage, according to a source at Police Command.

The source confirmed that life in the suburb which is home to tens of thousands of people is normal.

Local sources affirmed that what has been published by hostile media outlets about terrorist targeting a military bus in Harasta suburb is totally unfounded, adding that such reports are meant to boost the morale of terrorists who lost many of their members in Abu Zeid hill which the Syrian Arab Army had reestablished control over on Wednesday.
