Health ministry: No fatalities by cholera in Damascus

Damascus, SANA-Health Ministry denied what has been reported by media outlets about the existence of fatalities caused by cholera disease in the Syrian capital of Damascus.

The ministry said in a statement on Monday that the number of confirmed cases of cholera so far is 20 in Aleppo, 4 in Lattakia, and 2 in Damascus for two patients coming from Aleppo.

It added that the number of fatalities because of the disease is /2/ in Aleppo as a result of the delay in seeking medical advice and the presence of accompanying chronic diseases.

The Ministry called on citizens to follow public health measures and behaviors such as washing hands, drinking water from a safe source, and washing fruits and vegetables well.
