Worldwide coronavirus fatalities pass 3 million and 564 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 3 million and 564 thousand people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website which tracks the latest developments of the virus.

The website added that the total number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has reached up to 171,373,916 infections while the deaths have amounted to 3,564,213, and the recoveries have climbed to 153,719,703.

The US is still on top of the worst-hit countries by the virus in terms of the infections of the deaths after recording 609,767 deaths out of 34,048,553 infections, while India comes in the second place with 331,909.

Brazil comes in the third place with 462,791 fatalities, out of 16,545,554 infections.
