Worldwide coronavirus death toll passes two million and 802 thousand

Capitals, SANA-The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than two million and 802 thousand people worldwide since its appearance in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website.

The website added that the total number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has climbed to 128,194,104, while the fatalities have amounted to 2,802,976, and the recoveries have reached up to 103,349,132.

The US is still on top of the countries affected by the coronavirus in terms of the infections and the deaths after recording 563,036 fatalities out of 31,025,693 infections, while Brazil comes in the second place with 313,866 deaths out of 12,573,615 infections.

Meanwhile, India comes third with 162,147 fatalities out of 12,095,329 coronavirus infections.
